Modes of Care
In Person

Certain diagnoses and practices require in person care; you may speak with your therapist to explore if your needs require in person care. Some individuals make the most progress by meeting in the same space as their therapist.

Telehealth

Telehealth or online therapy offers flexibility that office sessions may not be able to provide. Trinity utilizes Therapy Notes’ secure and HIPAA compliant Tele-platform to engage in online sessions.
Types of Therapies
Individual

Individual therapy is a personal opportunity to receive support and explore growth during challenging times. Individual therapy can provide support and healing with a variety of needs and challenges; such as anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marriage and relationship ruptures, parenting problems, and transitional issues such as career changes, etc.

At Trinity we believe in the healing and empowerment of our clients. Individual therapy allows for a therapist and client to safely explore and identify areas of hurt and need and collaboratively work together to repair and build skills to navigate life's challenges.

Couples and Family

At Trinity the family system and how it relates to those involved is explored and repaired in couples and family therapy. The “client” in this type of counseling is the relationship. The therapist explores with those involved what roles they may play in their family or couples system, and aid the individuals in creating roles and rules that provide stability, value, and connection.

At Trinity we understand that behavior patterns influence the whole system, which is why family/couples therapy is often an essential part of system's growth and healing.

Informed Trauma Care

Trauma is a whole-body experience -emotional, mental, and physical. Trauma comes from exposure to an event or events where one experiences the threat of, and or direct harm. These experiences then cause one's Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) to overload - due to overwhelm and stress. Due to this overload one is not able to process and cope, thus resulting in a trauma.
Trauma may result from a single experience, or from recurring events. When trauma is experienced repetitively and or over a long period of time, it may lead to chronic and serious impacts on one’s health, daily functioning, and or create other challenges.

We believe that our clients were not made strong by surviving their trauma/s, rather they survived due to their innate strength and power. At Trinity we are committed to providing a safe place for our clients to reconnect with their inner strength and power, and are honored to support their journey to repair, reclaim, and heal.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy is a focused approach to treating trauma and other symptoms. This is done by reconnecting the traumatized individual in a safe and measured way to their images, self-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations associated with the trauma. This process allows the body to heal naturally by desensitizing and reprocessing those areas associated and activated with the trauma, as to repair.
At Trinity we offer two EMDR providers:

-
Ann Melde-Rahe who is a fully certified clinician through EMDRIA
-
Allison Benz who is a trained clinician through EMDRIA
